Some of the private practitioners definitely prescribed excessive medicines which is definitely wrong, it should be discouraged. more
Some doctors are discouraging generic medicine by telling the patients that those medicines are not effective and advice them to buy a particular brand of medicine.
1.Medicine strips are having same MRP in both generic and non generic medicines . A common man can not identify which is generic and which is branded. The generic medical shops selling at a price about 10% ( RS 15.00 a sheet)of the MRP printed. If any other non generic medical shop sells the same generic medicine at MRP (Rs150), no one can identify that generic medicines are sold at par with branded ones.
2. If doctors are to be believed that some medicines are not effective, how to identify effective and non effective.
