There is already a vast & universal fear about even being seen with a female colleague in the West, starting with the Wall Street, thanks to the MeToo Campaign .. India Inc has already started following it blindly !! Now with this additional 6 months' Compulsory Salary post Child Birth, although really a Progressive & Forward Looking Law, there is bound to be even less acceptance for female employment in India !! Already, after nearly a decade of good increase in female employment in the Country, this year has seen a drastic Drop in the same .. We need to discuss these at length with all stakeholders and sensitize the Actual Employers with necessary checks & balances , before thrusting it legally .. Otherwise the Loser is going to be mainly Indian Ladies .... more
