Mandatory rent agreement registration

Is a good initiative of the administration. However, do they have any idea how cumbersome they make it for us to get it done.

When we got our agreement registered there was bribery to buy stamps, bribery to get it done in the registrar office. Even guy who had to take your thumbprint wanted money.

If the administation can make it all online, I am sure everyone would be happy to follow it. In foreign countries most follow rules because following them is easier. Here other way around. more

I request for an update on this issue. Except for the treasury where from one can bye Stamp papers at their face value or computer generated by a licensed vendor.All all vendor charge 20% over and above face value. more

Rent agreement of Rs 100 stamp paper duly attested by Notary is ok, but is this legally acceptable? That needs to be confirmed. more

I agree. But I feel that the matter should get reported even before the bribe is paid. more
