Can anyone who has gone through Lasik in the last 2-3 years share their experience. Time taken and recovery. Time needed away from work and computer. more

All the errors of refraction are caused by different kinds of strains and can be cured by relaxation. Seeing like hearing is an effortless activity and does not require any muscular action. Any effort to see results in strain on eye muscles (which are responsible for adjusting eye-ball to focus on the object) and the brain where images on the retina are interpreted. This leads to poor vision. There are many methods of relaxing the eyes and brain like palming, sunning, use of imagination and memory ,shifting and swinging, reading Snellen's eye chart daily and reading fine print. I will be able to tell you the methods in detail if you see me in person. I had uploaded Dr. Bates book 'BatesperfectvisionWG' earlier on some post. I can resend it to you if you desire. My daughter and my nephew got it done for removal of spects/ contact lenses from I-care eye hospital, sector-26, NOIDA. They have world class equipment which is very accurate and tailored according to individual needs. They first test your fitness for the procedure and do it only if found fit for it.costs -package Rs. 28000/- about 5 yrs ago. You need 2-3 visits, procedure takes just 10-15 minutes, outdoor procedure, you can leave hospital within an hour of the operation. Both of them are doing well with perfect vision. You need to use eye drops for a month or so. Just 1 or 2 days off is enough from work. Doctors encourage that you start working as usual (including computer work) within 2 days of procedure. My children, when they were about 20, underwent lasik procedures. Their specs were removed, their eyesight has stayed good, normal and stable, there was little post-operative therapy or delays of any kind, no hospitalisation (OPD procedure), go back to work within a day or two, cost not excessive (at AIIMS about Rs.25,000 each then)...I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. more

What is your no. of specs? What's your age? You can try Dr. Bates methods to improve your eye sight. It is very easy, safe and effective. I can help you if you want to. I have improved my eyesight substantially using his methods. more
