Lets file a writ petition in the High Court against the stray dogs and monkey menace

Stray dogs and monkeys are a menace and a major part of the problem is friendicoes and other animal welfare organisations which have stopped the civic agencies from catching and removing them. In most European cities you will hardly ever see a stray dog because the agencies catch them. Those animals which cannot be placed as pets with homes are put to sleep. The system of sterilising dogs and not putting them to sleep ( extermination) being followed in Delhi has resulted in a huge increase in the dog population. Every street has its pack of strays. If I venture out for a walk after 10 pm in any lane but my own they attack me. This has limited my walking and increased my health risk. I would like to go cycling as this is an excellent exercise but then I have seen these stray dogs attack many a delivery boy on a bike or a cycle. They cause huge amount of injuries and accidents to young delivery boys trying to make a living and other sections of society who cannot afford cars. I feel we should get together to solve this problem. I would like to file a writ petition in the High Court for recommencement of dog catchers and for stopping the present system of sterilisation of dogs. I will do all the work but need support of other concerned people who will be willing to support the action by signing the petition. I would also appreciate if some lawyer would volunteer his services in drafting the petition. I have legal knowledge but am not a lawyer and help in drafting the petition would be useful. Those who are willing to support the writ petition should please confirm . I repeat I will not be asking for any money to meet the expenses of the petition. more

Has there been any progress on this issue. How can I help you from here. more
With you on this. Suggest that we focus on Dog and can bring attention to Monkey also but if we involve anything to do with wild lie and forest it will make it complicated. Recently a neighbout Aunt (sr citizen) was bitten by a Monkey in A block SFS Flats Saket as well. Besides, it looks be dog street than human street. Further, strict measures for Dog pert owners also needs new rules and strict enforcement as they also litter around all area. more
Delhi Municipal Corporation (all three wings) are responsible for controlling dog menace. Data can be provided by all three MCDs, hospitals, MCI. Case will have to be filed against MCD, Delhi Govt, Ministry of Home Affairs to whom L.G. reports at the present moment besides some other authorities. RTI also lies against MCD (All three wings). more
It is better first let us collect some cases where people have been actually caused harm physically to make case stronger. Take photos, videos, if possible, of such nuisance making stray dogs and other animals, like pigs etc. The Court goes by proof, news reports and other documentation. I am fully with Mr. Irvinder Singh, something concrete has to be done. I myself have a photo and video of a stray dog tearing off seats of my scooter parked outside my house. I was personally attacked but got saved luckily. more
