Lenovo is unable to repair a brand new S8 tablet - lack of spares

I am chasing Lenovo for repairing a broken screen of new tablet which was purchased from Flipcart. Sadly, they are unable to give a me a tentative timeline by when they could repair it, the repeated mail answers simply say it would delayed because of lack of spares.
a) I received template based email answer thrice within 3 weeks from the office of highest authority there...Dear Shashidhar,

b) The helpdesk team repeats 4 times almost the same answer...Dear Mr. Bhat,

Sorry for the delay.

However, the concerned team is working to arrange the parts. But, it is getting delayed.

So, once we get an update regarding the parts we will let you know.
c) The voice support team asked me to write a mail to someone else in Lenovo to get an update on the spares availability.

We paid around 20000 for the brand new tab nd used it hardly 2 weeks. It was dropped and the screen was broken. The touch screen is also not functional half of the screen.

We have wasted 2 weeks almost running around their authorised service centers to hear that spares are not available to repair a brand new device which was sold legally in India. Then after, it is almost 1 month now that the support ticket is raised on mail, but, to get helplessness from their team.

Why should I keep a dead Lenovo device at home? Everytime I see this unit, I get irritated. It is better let me gift wrap it and send it to Indian CEO.

Enter the consumer forum and register a complain. Any big brand may be popular but the post sale delivery is poor. They should be put in their place. I also have a Lenovo laptop which cannot be replaced so I finally had to go for another brand. Consumer has to become aware of their rights.Dr S.Sanyal more  
Spares not available is an excuse. In today's connected world. it will take 3 days max to get the part from anywhere in the world by FEDEX or any such service. This should be publisised on Facebook and Twitter that Lenovo is unable to repair a minor repair, so be careful of what you buy. In addition, file a suit in condumer court for replacement/compensation for lost time and aggrevation. You do not need a lawyer for that actually, you should not use a lawyer as he is only interested in delays so his fees are HIGHER. I have lost trust in India, nobody works honestly. more  
Shashidhar Bhat's report here is helpful to other consumers of this and other like products manufacturers how they forget about the buyers once the goods are sold. They think the after sales service is not the issue with the buyer, that is why they do not store the required amount of spares in their stocks. On one side lenova is establishing other unit in India on the other side they just could not arrange the Spair parts , person who brought in 20000 is irritating despite spending huge amount no guarantee, no time schedule for repair .I recall Nokia days when it's repair center failed due to technical demerits of brand , reason for downfall of Nokia. This way at least Samsung gives some reliability and performance at least for a year .Lenova has to think seriously for quality , guarantee and technological superiority as it is below performance in market more
