Kejriwal travels business class to Dubai

Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal today flew business class to Dubai to attend a felicitation event, sparking strong reaction from the opposition which said his "real face" has been "exposed".
The Aam Aadmi Party or AAP, however, came to Mr Kejriwal's defence, asking whether it was a crime to travel business class, a facility provided by the organisers.
The AAP chief left for a five-day visit to Dubai and New York this afternoon. In Dubai, Mr Kejriwal will receive the award for Asia's most inspiring and young social change maker at the World Brands Summit. He will also address the Abu Dhabi chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Mr Kejriwal will then proceed to New York, where he will deliver a lecture at the prestigious Columbia University and dine with his party supporters.
Mr Kejriwal, a former bureaucrat, is known for his simple lifestyle even when he became the Delhi Chief Minister. He preferred to travel in his Blue Wagon R and opted for a flat as his official accommodation.
Taking a jibe at Mr Kejriwal, Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said when he met the former chief minister of Delhi at the Republic Day parade, he was surrounded by policemen.
"I had a privilege of taking his photograph and asking Mr Kejriwal - 'You are a common man and you are surrounded by 60 odd Delhi Police personnel'," Mr Rudy said. more

Ranjana Sharmaji, pl reply to the following fact: इन सांसदों पर करोड़ों क्यों उड़ा रही सरकार? नवभारतटाइम्स.कॉम लोकसभा सचिवालय में एक आरटीआई आवेदन दाखिला कर पूछा गया था कि वर्तमान लोकसभा के ऐसे कौन-कौन से सांसद हैं जो कि स्थायी आवास आवंटित होने के बाद भी सरकारी खर्चे पर ही होटेल में ठहरे हुए हैं। इसके जवाब में लोकसभा सचिवालय ने बताया कि वर्तमान लोकसभा के 92 सांसद को लोकसभा की हाउस कमिटी ने स्थायी आवास आवंटित किए हैं। ये सभी सांसद अभी होटेल अशोका, सम्राट और जनपथ में ठहरे हुए हैं। ये सभी सांसद पिछले सात महीने से सरकार के खर्चे पर लग्जरी सुविधाओं वाले कमरों में ठहरे हुए हैं। Subrata Guha more

Why not BJP takes this first step and declares party's fund and expenditure in public? Be brave. Yes you are honest, you can do that. Please do it first. The party in government must be the first to make this move. A man with 56" chest should not hide. A custodian must step first to set an example. You came into power by shouting slogans against corrupt UPA. Come on! do it now. At least this won't violate any treaty like DTAA more
