Judiciary in jeopardy.

The Rajya Sabha unanimously passed the Constitution (99th Amendment) Bill to do away
with collegium system of appointing Supreme Court and high court judges.
The president and the government will appoint judges to the Supreme Court.
With only 59 MPs in the 245-member house, there is no difference when
something so favorable to politicians is presented and they become one face.
It was support by 179 out of 180 MPs present in the upper house.
Now the judiciary has become a puppet of politicians. more

Was the judiciary not a puppet in the hands of money? What is bad if it comes into a public domain? At least we shall have some transparency! more
We may not have heard the last word on this matter, as this issue is bound to get a thorough judicial examination. The govt seeks to dominate every sphere, and in due course there may be collision with others too. But the first one will surely be with the judiciary. Let us await the result of the expected stand off of the govt & judiciary. more
Satyarth Prakash Ji, now judiciary will also be guided by uneducated politicians for acdieving their selfish ends. It should be known as a black day for Indian joudiciary. more
Judicial ammendment bill Recent times have proven the absolute necessity of judiciary being an equal pillar of democracy. Judiciary has been the hope of the nation when other wings have shown sheer arrogance of power through scams we have faced. The fact that this bill has been passed without even consultation with the judiciary, is a matter of concern. Mr. Barium an is right is expressing his disappointment and has proposed to challenge it in the court. This bill can also be seen as a change in basic framework of our constitution, which warrants an equal importance between the three pillars. more
Corrupt politicions dont have to fear as there own appointed people in the judiciary will be there to help them.It is very wrong. more
