JOURNALISTS AND ACTIVISTS ARE MUCH NEEDED BUT THEY NEED CREDIBILITY TOO

It is high time that the journalists and activists should take a good look at their own image in the society and search their conscience whether they have always been neutral and unprejudiced.

The real strength of the journalists and activists all over the world are the respect that they command amongst the people, as persons who are honest, neutral, fair and objective with no pre conceived notions. If the activists and the journalists would be suspected by the people, it would do great harm to the structure of democracy and fabric and fibre of the society.

Journalists and activists have to be men of truth , capable of taking an objective view on matters and not imposing views in the name of news. These days, on any issue , on some occasions, one can guess as to what a particular activist or journalist would say.

We need the journalist to tell what the politicians are doing without following their actions/aims. more
TV Journalists and a few other spew venomous poison in their programmes full of hate and are the complete anti thesis of Impartial Journalism. There is supposed to be a Broadcasters Code of Conduct and a self regulatory Press Body which simply does not do anything . Nor do people so defiled file Defamation cases and let the abuses continue .Political parties who have great Lawyers and stalwarts in their senior ranks must intervene Probono to stop this and do a great service to the Nation far in excess of what they do coming on TV programmes to give their views only There must a code of conduct and an independent body which examines these channels hatred, as suggested I think, by the Honorable Supreme Court and imposes stiff penalties for spreading hate by suspending or cancelling their licence more
Absolutely these professions would be better referred to as paid lobbyists. Activism and journalism is simply a guise to push the agendas of their masters mostly in foreign countries more
Journalists ae probably needed to some extent, BUT ACTICVISTS ARE NOT NEDED AT ALL. However, there are plenty of TV Channels and such who need their licenses to be withdrawn. They are just paid people. None of us, including ourselves would ever look at own image. more
