Jealousy is not good

A recent issue of eMedinews says that jealousy can disturb peace of mind. You work harder than your colleague in the office, but sometimes s/he gets promotion; you do not. You started a business several years ago, but you are not as successful as your neighbor whose business is only one year old.

Should you be jealous? No. Remember everybody’s life is shaped by his/her destiny, which has now become his/her reality. If you are destined to be rich, nothing in the world can stop you. If you are not so destined, no one can help you either. Nothing will be gained by blaming others for your misfortune. Jealousy will not get you anywhere; it will only take away your peace of mind.

In the area of eye care, questions like “why I’m wearing spects, and she is not?” or “why have I developed cataract at the tender age of 45 while Sharma ji’s eyes are cataract-free at the age of 65?” speak of jealousy, and are not healthy. more

I fully agree with Dr Narendra, what ever one get happiness or sadness is due to his past & present karma. No one can change the results if one will try to change it will face more pain and sadness. But it does not mean one should stop making efforts for improvement. If efforts are sincere, pious result will be positive otherwise result will be painful & sorrowful. We should not blame others for any our suffering coz all sufferings we get and face are due to our karma for that we can't blame anyone even who is the cause of suffering. more
While everything can't be covered in one `post', thanks for making useful additions, Atul ji. And, my thanks to Anjuan ji for very encouraging remark - Dr Narendra Kumar, Ophthacare Eye Centre more
When I start reading your philosophical pieces, I always wonder how you will link it to eye care. But you manage to do so seamlessly. more
While starting your article right, you have left everything to destiny. Please take it to next step that it still involves your Karma. Do the right things, dont just sit and dream that it is your destiny. Take care of your eyes. Sitting, reading posture, light source, strain, poor TV screen, glued to your TV/ Computer, welders not wearing protection glasses, lack of vitamins A/ E. Driving two wheeler without helmet or protection glasses...and the dos and don'ts list can go on. more
