J food marking for Junk Food

Radha ji's idea a few weeks ago was a brilliant one about FSSAI coming with a requirement that all junk foods (chips, cola, cakes) on their pack should have a J mark.

Can FSSAI use the strength of The circles and build a case for it like earlier it was done on school fee disclosure few months ago.

Once done, large scale awarness can be created via Schools, RWAs, other channels etc and soon it will be like U or A movie certificate. We know what children cannot watch.

Hope the CEO of FSSAI and his team can take action on this! more

FSSAI - has the J food idea been implemented?? more
It is just like raising hands & taking oath of doing all the right things for the nation & countrymen but has anyone done the same for even their own family members. Has the big & bold message on the Cigarette packs Smoking is Injurious to health brought any effect? Have people stopped smoking? No then how can J mark work wonders & will instil the feelings in the children to totally avoid taking the Junk Food. The lust in people is much more than the goody goody things. Even educated persons also lose the battle against this lust. Don't expect it to bring wonders instead think that it is another chapter & another trick & will be definitely taken over by one & all. more
A mark does not help in controlling the junk food use. Awareness is required. more
Chopra Ji I fail to comprehend how FSSAI coming with a requirement that all junk foods (chips, cola, cakes) on their pack should have a J mark would help the consumers. What is the objective and would a J mark help achieve the objective or is is just and FYI more
Good idea ... Idea needs to be planted at the stage of child and formulating years to avoid junk food.... more
