Is CBI really independent ?
Top officials of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) have met Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director Ranjit Sinha at least 50 times in 15 months at his official residence – 2, Janpath – here in Delhi.
Qureshi has visited 2, Janpath, the official residence of Sinha, at least 90 times in 15 months.
Devendra is the son of Congress MP from Yavatmal, Vijay Darda, also an accused in coal scam along with his brother Rajendra Darda, has also been frequent visitor of to 2, Janpath, the CBI chief's official residence.
As per the code of conduct any agency chief should refrain from meeting people at their residence as it creates a "misperception and people misunderstand such meetings"
As per CBI Chief, he met only personal friends and relatives at his residence. Now the question is whether accused in hawala cases, coal scam, 2G scam or thpose under IT scanner were personal friends of CBI Chief. Even personal friends and relatives don't have time to visit so frequently (50/ 90 times in 15months). more

This is India, most of the politician are corrupted they are coming to power for eating purposes nothing else they have no concern about poor people. I hate these type of people. more

Sunil Dutt Agrwal Ji, activities of CBI should be transparent insted of being independent and What Ranjit Sinha is doing can not be termed as a transparent business from any angle. more

Well said Sunil. However I am not surprised seeing the networking 'group'. Selfish business/ financial interest is usually the focal point of people in high positions. This is where ' deals' get struck. The fact that the activity is being targeted as 'infringement of privacy' is evidence enough of such nexus. Govt. officials occupying sensitive positions, can not get away by giving such defense. We will have to wait & see, how seriously this matter is probed & followed up. more
