Insurance Scam in Gujarat bleeding Tax Payers
There is a new scam in Gujarat (I have come to know about multiple cases in Saurashtra). The Cotton Gin owners take huge insurance policies, then they produce fake records of huge amount of production and then they produce little only and burn it. They have tie-ups with Insurance guys and bribe the police etc. I know of a couple of Gin Owners who have burnt 15 lakhs worth of cotton and claimed 7 Crore insurance for Fire Damage. Everybody started doing it and now every other week we hear of this happening. They are taking Govt. Insurance Policies (like New India Assurance). Our Tax money in India is not going to the govt. because such people are taking it. We only know about the big ones like Kalmadi, Raja, etc. but there are scams happening every day and our money is going down the drain, into corrupt peoples hands. Height is we have full proof of such incidents but when we write to or call New India or IRDA or Finance Ministry, we don't get any response. How do we improve this country? When the entire system has gone to the dogs? Please share your thoughts. more

Insurance scam is prevalent even in the insurance policies of godowns storing non-moving /obsolete stocks. more

1. The insurance company should do a detailed investigation into cause of fire. 2. Insurance should be given by private industry and overseen by government for fraud. 3. There should be maximum limit for insurance. 4. It should be basically for small farmers so they do not starve if something happens to them. more

Scam is just a common thing now a days. It is due to lack of administrative control over PPP (private public partnership). Private bodies offer bribe in the name of gift and get the things done. Lack of vigilance by government departments is another cause. more

People talk of corruption in public field, using dishonest means by Insurance, banks and others are noticed often. big shops cheat people. It does not seem that writing here and there will solve any problems. I have tried online court, grievance cell, recording areas but all are shows,nothing happens writing there. Some time back I received for some days, Grahak Jago- don't pay more than legitimate amount. But as I tried to contact them nothing came out. Showing and false consolations are gimmicks as if drawing the attention of voters. Falsehood prevails. Is there any honest authority who can take up in right earnest cases of falsehood,cheating, etc. on a regular basis and give its site or mail addresses. Shows hide actual activities. Corruption in India is a disease practised by inscrupilous lelments in the public life. Is there any real site or source where complaints meet with rel help? more
