India has voted

India has voted! Congratulations to the people of India on the successful completion of 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

I congratulate the EC & the entire election & security staff for their continuous efforts during the entire Election. The biggest joy of 2014 Elections has been the increased turnout. Braving the scorching heat & the rain people turned out in large numbers.

Usually ruling Party sets the agenda of the election but in this campaign ruling party was neither proactive nor responsive, it remained reactive. NDA remained firmly focussed on the agenda of development & good governance & ensured this became focal points of the entire campaign.

Wherever I went it was a delight to interact with local people. Social media also helped me understand their sentiments. Due to social media, lies & false promises of several leaders could not go beyond the podiums of their rallies! More power to social media. more

I am sorry to note ( in my personal capacity ) that this was the weakest EC ever that has tripped over and fallen over many times bringing utter disrepute to an institution of pride and integrity. Where are those Seshan days or Lyndough days when the political parties got a crack on their head with the correct speed, accuracy and intensity ? Do you need a month long elections process ?, to hold up complaints in cold storage ?, unable to even take cognisance of irregularities on ground ?, needs the political parties or the media to push & goad the EC into action ?, then gives funny verdicts ?, then in utter confusion end up as jokers when interviewed on camera ? Beyond a grain of doubt LORD Sampath is just unfit for the position he holds. The Govt and the Judiciary must do a big revisit and overhaul the present EC otherwise no political party will even care a hoot and bulldoze the EC without the fear or the obligation. more
Yes the General Election is over, thank God. In my opinion Election Commission had actef in most biased manner. EC officers were dcared of certain ruling party officials, poltical goons. Various actions and non actions by EC or CRC appeared to be partisan. Deletionmof names from Voter's list is anoth3r subject, ehere zEC has erred. Me and my wife's name was found deleted from voter's list. !despite our having Boters card and our house just opposite polling booth No 180 since last 25 yrd. ? Many of known persons found their names deletef. Neither me mor my kniwn perdons are Bangladedhi jor we have changef nour place of residence. more
