In respect of quackery practice in Delhi and consumer matters.
My wife suffers from arthritis in shoulders, hip joints, knee and ankles. Thus remains in pain since many years. There is a so called hospital namely Sanora in Gulmohar Enclave. They conducted an workshop in Sr. Citizen auditorium, Vasant Kunj conveying to all the people present that they can treat all the pains by manipulating the jaw joint and teeth. All the pains will vanish. On repeated questioning they said that they can cure the pains because of arthritis and depression also. They charged a fee of Rs. 30000.00 before starting the treatment. The treatment continued for more than 2 months. No reduction in pain rather she developed another pain of sciatica. Now Dr. Arora has advised that she should be prepared to spend about Rs 5.0 L to 12 Rs 12 L now to get relief fron pain. He calls this method as crano -sacral. I refereed the matter to my company for reimbursement they say it can not be reimbursed as being a quackery and pseudo- science. Kindly advise me, if any one can. more

Dear Mr. Satya, Qigong is an ancient science, same as Ayurveda, but no medicines are used, so no reaction. It is a method to stimulate the inherent capacity to heal ourselves. I do healing and also teach so that the patient can keep themselves healthy. The exercises are very light and anybody can do it. In most cases the effect is immediate and one can feel the difference after the first treatment. Since the body d functions are returned to normal some of the conditions may take a longer time, the progress is gradual depending on the effort put in by the patient. There is no advance payment or fixed charge, if you do not feel the difference, there is no fee. I would advise to have a few sittings to see the results and then decide on the long term treatment and learning. more

Dear Mr. Satya, you are right, but I think after 3 months the patient will testify it herself, in 6 months 50% will be gone and after a year you may not remember even but the diet restriction must be followed for ever. If the patient makes the heart pump fast for half an hour daily them medicines may work much faster. more

Very interesting experiences, indeed. Good that members do this kind of sharing. Allow me to add, that the Ayurveda treatment "does take time", but it provides a sure cure at the end. I've come across patients who lose patience, seek allopathic treatments with cortisone and other steroids-containing alternatives to get quick but not permanent relief. Needless to say, that arthritic pains are not easy to bear; these can test the patients' tolerance capacities to the extremes..... more

It's lack of our knowledge that these quacks cheat us. Always prefer Ayurveda. 4. Medicine is Hingwashtak choorna ( dabur ), twice a day along with all other medicines I told in previous post. more

Dear Mr. Upadhyae, I am really sorry to know your situation and wife's condition. I had similar problem bot arthritis and sciatica, but cured myself ayurvedic way. You don't need to spend any thing. I am just sharing with you the treatment I received and my condition was cured, though it was slow but now permanently gone. First thing is it's a VATA ROG. So you need to control it. Strict diet contro : immideately stop food from refrigerator, must avoid rajma, curd, banana, stale food ( basi khana), okra, ice cream and cold food. Make it a point to for her to have freshly cooked food. Medication I received : 1. vatarin tail (dabur): warm it and massage twice a day on the area of pain. 2. Maharasnadi kwath/kadha ( dhootpaapeshwar ) 30 ml in half cup of water twice a day 3. Trayodashang guggul ( dhootpaapeshwar ) one tablet, twice a day. Sunbath is excellent in this condition. I am completely cured of arthritis and sciatica both it's a year now. more
