Thanks Mr Vyas for your comments. I believe this post is serving well as the idea is to collect comments, potential threats and areas of opportunities regarding the over seas trading. more
Mr. Manjeet, Yes there are lot of of potential for any overseas trading business from all over the world, Canada is vast country with many resources. For pulses you must be knowing that there are many regulations and standards, certifications etc; absolutely necessary.and INDIAN MARKET SENTIMENTS ARE TOTALLY UNPREDICTABLE AND AT TIMES ACTS TOTALLY IN INDIFFERENT WAY. AND SIMPLY SURFING THRU INTERNET DOESN'T WORK MANY TIMES. I AM NOT DISCOURAGING YOU BUT , SINCE YOUR ROOTS ARE FROM INDIA you must be knowing all that. more
Mr.Kinthali S Rao , it is good that you can help him with logistics from those ANDHRA and ORISSA ports, but it is our experience, whenever in INDIA you ask any shipping company the freight from x port to y port in the world, whether international or domestic non of these companies are ever ready with freight charges, at time one do not get proper vessel, or containers or the ISO -TANKS , OR EVEN FLEXI TANKS. INTERNATIONAL TRADE DO NOT WORK LIKE THIS, AND IN CASE OF OVERSEAS TRADING IT IS WORST. E.G; IF HE WANTS TO SHIP MATERIAL FROM CANADIAN PORT TO CHINA OR EUROPE PORT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE HIM ANY INFORMATION AND MANY MIGHT NOT BE IN SUCH POSITION TO HANDLE IT. WE ARE IN A GLOBAL MARKET, TO DAY HE WANTS TO DO TRADING TO INDIA BUT THEN TOMORROW HE MAY LIKE TO TRADE TO OTHER COUNTRIES AS WELL. DO ANY TIME OUR SHIPPING COMPANIES READY WITH UPFRONT FREIGHT CHARGES FOR VARIOUS INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS, THESE ARE THE SPECIFIC REASONS WHY WE LACK IN MANY COMPETITIVE INTERNATIONAL TRADE. MOST OF THE TIME THE FREIGHT BECOMES THE BOTTLE NECK. EVEN MANY SUCH AGENCIES DO NOT EVEN HAVE READY INFORMATION ABOUT THE AVAILABLE DRAFT AT THE PARTICULAR PORT, THE SIZE OF THE VESSEL, FLAT BOTTOM OR NORMAL VESSEL AND SO ON. if you can really do all that i am sure you can be the country's first such service provider. My best wishes are there with you, Sir. Jai Hind more
Mr Rao, I will b in touch with you once I find a cheap source here in Canada and a buyer in India. I m still doing a market survey and doing a feasibility study. more
