HSRP
HSRP is a full-blown scam. Booked a month ago, today’s appointment itself was a nightmare to locate. Plates fitted, but extorted ₹250 extra for a ‘frame’ — without it, plates bend! Paid under pressure. Then told color-coded sticker isn’t ready. Sent 15 km away to chase it down myself. System is broken. Harassment is official. Disgraceful! more

Yes HSRP is a scam. They asked for Rs750 from me for frame for number plate, which I refused. They are indiscipline and manner less, do not know how to talk to a super senior citizen. They need punishment. more

You were fortunate to have paid 250 for the plastic frame. I was made to pay 450 for the same. The plates are of such poor quality that they just bend while cleaning it. Sad. NitinJi should immediately intervene and look into. more

The HSRP idea was an utopia? Any way i agree that it will soon blow into a full pledge Scam. Seems that the Govt is a partner in scam? more

I completely agree with you and have met with a harrowing experience despite starting early on getting these new plates. This is completely misnanaged and we dont really know what else besides plates that need to be affixed. Some say special stickers, someone is saying something is to be fixed on the windshield and some are saying some coloured stickers on the fuel tank cap are also needed etc. As I see it, it is a big money making racket which will translate into a "fine" racket after the deadline is over. I spent Rs 1200 for new plates with borders (offical charges plus extra to get them fixed after removing the old one which was stubborn in coming off and needed some extra work) etc a few months ago but no one is clear if this is done or something is amiss. I dont have any stickers on my car windshield as they said its not for old cars!! For the fuel tank, they said its only applicable in some parts of India. The dealers are clueless though they are one of the official agencies for such plates. They are just making people run from pillar to post as if we have nothing better to do in life. more
