How Indians use AI

What an excellent and pointed report on AI from LocalCircles Manager.

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/india-ai-survey

It maps accurately how Indians are using AI. I see surveys in ET and BS from time to time but most dont seem reliable.

This one is superb. I think one thing that must be added to the report is the fact that just like people were using search or google to find information on the internet they are using AI now.

Does this mark the end of Google? more

Can anyone tell me the reason why India which is a self-proclaimed software superpower, hasn't done anything in the field of AI while China has come out with DeepSeek which has shaken up the western world? more
It is not endorsed of Google... I think Gemini App on AI is connected with Google if I am not wrong...if not Google will always find its way to match AI elsewhere. more
I don’t think this marks the end of Google—at least not yet. Google is still deeply integrated into how we search, access information, and navigate the internet. But what we’re seeing is a complementary shift, where AI tools are enhancing how people search for and process information. It’s a new layer that’s added to traditional search, rather than replacing it entirely. AI can provide more contextual or conversational responses, while Google still does a fantastic job at indexing and ranking vast amounts of information, helping you dive into a more detailed search if you need it. more
Google, or for that matter any search engine, can only give you a list of websites where you can get answers to a question but do not collate a reply out of them. Now the search engines will have to increasingly integrate with AI engines to give a more comprehensive experience or watch the users moving increasingly to AI programs more
