House tax

I usually pay house tax online. When I opened site to pay current year tax, it shows Rs. 4500/- as arrears, whereas I paid last year tax also online. Visited the Panchayath in Chalakudi Taluk twice in one day, one time net was not available, next time concerned officer was on leave. Handed over the last year receipt to Ward member to show to Officer but officer says house owner to come and meet her. I am outside Kerala. Where I will lodge a complaint? more

Thank you all for valued advice. Will send a complaint to President with copy to Secretary also. Last month, when I approached twice in a day (morning & afternoon session), one time they said no net connection next time told concerned Officer on leave. I had to stand in this Office as a beggar for several hours. There is no DUE as per my records and not going to pay any due also. more
All my efforts gone in vain. They are asking proof of payment from 2007, old receipts not available with me. One of my friends told to submit application to get copy of all old tax payment receipts through RTI . Can anybody guide me for this where I have to submit the application, its procedure etc. I am talking about a Mala Panchayat in Chalakudi Taluk (Thrissur). more
,Send a Complaint to the President of that Panchayat .He is an officiating full time Exective and Competant to verify any Complaint regarding Tax,If it is not resolved forward the complaint to the Depty.Director of Panchayat, Trissur to resolve your Grievence. Probably this might be an error or omission. more
You cannot expect any good from these people, But you can certainly bring it to the attention of the ministers, like Mr.Thomas Isaac and the Revenue minister. theier email IDs are in the Keral govt web site and they certainly will take necessary steps even though you may not get any reply. But when you wrte email, send attachments and also bit hard on the matter. If you haave the names of the staff contacted, please add them too. more
It is too bad the govt sites do not have a complaints or customer support window. It is time the admin start a complaint to Central Govt to make it mandatory the customer support windows in all govt transactions. An online ticket should be generated for such complaints. This ticket should be proof in a court or consumer complaints forum. In the present case he can give written authorisation to somebody to represent him and that person can submit documents. more
The system in Kerala Govt offices are not at all friendly. They harrass the citizen for one or the other reasons. When you solve one question, another issue will be brought to you. That you solve, then another will be brought. For registering the death of my father, the Panchayath office people harassed me a lot and I had to dropped the registration with writing a complaint letter to the Collector in Kottayam more
