Hand Made Cushion Covers

I want to sell HAND MADE CUSHION COVERS, on line. Any selling involves registration with GST. The Turn over will be around Rs.one lakh. I am told Hand Made Articles are exempt from GST. Also there is a minimum Turn over for filing GST returns. Can Any one advice me in this regard. My email ID is - lpsubra1943@yahoo.co.in more  

As far as I know, if you are in exempt category..Handloom or vegetables, grain, you need not have GST for intra state sale also. Exempt is exempt even for exports. Now, question is of online..this you must talk to a CA doing GST work. If it is exempt under GST should also be exempt online. vegetables are also sold online , are they taxed in GST? more  
Innumerable business activities have been operating since years without even thinking of having to charge and paying taxes.

Fortunately for the Indian market, finally there is a taxing system in place. Why then try to find ways around it? If taxes have to be charged and paid on to the government, please do it.

High time to let this country of ours be like other countries of the world. Come to think of it, there is a lot that yet needs to be done..If we do not contribute towards development of our own country, who else would??? more  
You have to register as small scale Industry, you are going to get SSI registration number at a very nominal cost.
This helps you even for loans etc.
At this stage GST registration is not required.
Small scale Industry registration comes under respective state Governments. more

Eventhough Handmade Cushion covers is exempt from GST, since you are doing Online business effecting Inter and Intra states transactions, you have to obtain GST registration and file Returns. more
