Govt is the last pillar of dependence. Once it is gone, there is nothing more left and you are on your own. So a government hallmarked ornament is to be trusted rather than trusting the luck. I suggest laser etched 12digit numbers below ISI hall mark that is visible under 10X lense. Such number on feeding to ISI domain site will show photo and details of ornament for cross checking before buying. more
Sadly true more
In India if one route is closed for unscrupulous people, they open 2 new ones. Indian market is full of fake/sub-standard/duplicate/adulterated
products and no regulator takes effective steps to curb the same due
to corruption and non-accountability. It will not be big job to sell the
jewellary with fake hallmarking. more
Are the consumers really benefited and getting their purchases of real value since hallmarking was made mandatory? Introduction of a system alone is not enough but it is necessary to ensure that the system has been implemented in the desired manner and all loopholes facilitating cheating by the dishonest traders are completely plugged keeping their activities under close watch of the concerned authorities. more
Bad news that the fake markers are already active. Could any one suggest how to differentiate between the real and the fake hallmark ? more
