Govt of India should shortlist start up projects

Whatever may be the claim of Government of India, the fact remains that Prime Minister's start up India programme has not forged ahead with the speed that is needed.

While Modi government is certainly striving to promote the ease of business and remove the bottlenecks , the real problem is in the identification of suitable and appropriate projects for investment and commencing the start up activities.

In such circumstances, the start up entrepreneurs need some ideas as to what would be the appropriate projects for investment that is in tune with the government of India's policies and future plans.

The big problem in India today is the slackening of investment in manufacturing sector, which represents the real growth. While many start up entrepreneurs have ideas with regard to services sector, this is not the case in the case of manufacturing sector.

Government of India should take some initiatives to shortlist manufacturing projects in different field such as chemical , pharmaceutical etc. in the small and medium scale sector.

It is said that when Mr. Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat , such exercise was carried out and some projects were shortlisted for priority support by the government. This approach yielded good results.
Such exercise is now much needed at all India level.

A task force may be constituted by the Government of India immediately to identify such projects and place it in public domain for the benefit of start up entrepreneurs and financing institutions. Certainly, this would go a long way in enthusing the start up entrepreneurs and giving a push to the Make in India programme.

Yes What you said is right. All India level revamp of study required and experienced people and experienced Sr. entrepreneurs who lost their energy and resources over the last 20 years recession and bubble burst in IT and engineering to be considered separate and a investment support limit to be based on the experience and marketing strength and leadership quality. not simply on the project alone as base, even collateral also to be accommodate based on the seniority and experience of entrepreneurs more
I also feel that to encourage the beginners, a list of works to be taken up for start up India will guide them. The beginners always afraid of loss of resources available with them. more
This is the work of people appointed to promote industries. How do people measure performance of these officers? Often these department collect information and report the same as their achievement. Higher pay means higher responsibilities; let it be any place. There were great visionaries in India who worked without any recognition, but this would not continue. As knowledge and wisdom are considered cheapest commodities by present generation. All want ideas but are not trying to strain their minds and trying to generate new ideas. Parents support them to the extent of losing their own creativity. Schools never check whether the projections by students are of their own or not. more
