Gout
My wife has been suffering from severe pain in her left arm and shoulder for the last three days. She fears that it may be a symptom of heart attack. Today, on consulting the doctor, it was diagnosed that it is Gout (which normally hits the toe). Any suggestions for medication and diet control for Gout ??? more

Thanks Prof. Umesh. The funny part is that after consulting other doctors and some tests, it was confirmed that it is not Gout!!! It was muscular pain which got ok after some pain killers and other medicine for gas. more

Initially let her take two tabs of Neem Wati and two tabs of Giloy Wati , twice a day ( Morning and night ) after getting some relief continue one each (in morning and night) for a long duration ( few months ). It will certainly give relief . Avoid Curd, rice, fried food , tea and other protein / fat rich food , very cold drinks ( incl cold water from fridge ) particularly in the night . more

Thanks a lot Archna Ji. About two months back, her uric acid was checked and was found to be normal. However, we are continuing with the medicines prescribed by the doctor. more
