Foreign National Starting Company in India

My wise is interested in setting up a private limited company in the area of bringing foreign products to India.

Can a foreign national set up a company here. What are some of the do's and don'ts.

Would like to get some basics before we select a setup/accounting provider. more

1. Get private company registered in India.
2. Open Bank Account.
3. Get registration with government authority before import of products.
4. Start importing and selling products in India.
