Fee on UPI transactions

Glad that finally someone has taken this issue up and LC manager has escalated this to media.

The Localcircles survey is very crisp and accurate in saying 73 pct Indians will stop using UPI if they have to pay a transaction fee.

Most small vendors I have spoken to do so as there is no fee. The moment u impose a fee that vendor will start demanding cash from consumer or say if you buy in UPI the mango will be 150 per kg but in cash it will be 120.

A transaction fee on UPI will increase cost for consumer. Is that what the Government wants ? more

Dear All Scholars, the peoples make upi transaction of Rs. 10/00 also on tea stall. this record maintain is beyond the capacity of server. Instead UPI make some wallet for small transaction with limit 1000 /00 per day & 30 transactions per month. Put terms that data will remain only for 30 days from the date for amount less than Rs. 1000 /00. After 30- each transaction will cost some amount. It will solve the issue & record keeping. more
anything can happen and i do not know whether govt gives weightage of the LC survey and takes its feedback . more
Don't trust present central government for anything. more
This will not happen immediately or next 2 years more
Mr Sudesh Rai is very right when he mentions about 73% of UPI users will leave transactions by using UPI platform and switch over to transactions using cash payment or through cheques or net banking money transfers. This is a bad idea to introduce any fee for UPI payments which certainly will discourage small businessmen, like thela walas, vegetable/ fruit sellers, small budget retailers and like. The government must have a rethink on this issue and should advise the RBI not to implement such ill conceived plan. 5 more
