FCPA and US suppliers
it has come to my attention that many of the US based multinationals that supply IT hardware and software are engaging in bribery in india. These are household names and almost every one is a signatory to FCPA. What can TI do about getting them to stop such practices. Gift or corruption have started from offerings to God for doing good things those who pray with the offerings. The same is practiced in business and favors to get from the authorities to clear the papers. As the years pass by the number of people going to temples and places of worship is increasing as the corruption increases. Unless each one of us believe in doing things which does not affect others right corruption and gifts will not stop. But we have to take every possible steps to minimize them,mid not erradicate them. more

All developed countries know that we are very much pron to corruption. The then Prime Minister told in the house of the Parliament that gift is not corruption. So take a gift and favour the company, who is giving you to gift. I doubt whether we can stop bribery. It is already in our blood. The only way to stop is to use our own product. Stop globalisition. more

US companies do not only sell software and other products by bribing the Indian officials but they are getting freelance content writing done, work done at India by Indians by paying peanuts. For example take the website-www.triond.com, they ask you to submit article on any subject for which they will be paying you for it but the moment you upload an article they reject it but it never gets deleted if you try to delete it from your account. Now they can easily steal it and sell it without paying you a single pie. For our part we can put such issues on Facebook, twitter and linkedIn too. Moreover I think our Indian Government needs to be more vigilant. more

The best way is to expose specific cases and put it for everyone to see, such as FB, twitter, What Sapp etc. Any photographic evidence makes the allegation irrefutable and hence better. more
