Evolution Of 68th Petal of Freedom

A preview of the recent parliamentary election and its background evolved one and only one personality on its foreground and that is none other than our flam buoyant incumbent prime minister Narender Bhai Modi.
His fluent and extempore speech has no doubt touched all ingredients of priority at the moment at his disposal.
Heraclitus was the first Greek philosopher who defined the human transition at every moment and I think Mr. Modi is a human being and after a fairly long period of around three months he must not remain the Modi who lambasted and cornered the then Government on price rise, inflation, Black money stacked in foreign banks, political empowerment of Indian women , incursion into our land by seditious neighbors called Pakistan and China, iron hand approach towards communal violence etc. rather the true Modi truly vulnerable to volley of problems and cornered by his own statements and rhetoric. None can deny that his outcry against Congress Government was based on truths and substantiations and calling Kejriwal and other seculars traitor a ploy to discredit the rivals to win a prestigious election.
However I am peeved that he missed to touch the fore most core issues and even the top most core one, the explosive price of even essential commodities for a nation who fosters one third of the poorest of the Globe.
I myself tried to listen to him as Modi the P.M of India not the Modi a typical Politician of election days, since morning and had hoped- after three months of silence post a vitriolic and rhetoric campaign followed by a phenomenal triumph he will not be the Modi who had addressed an election campaign under background of a false and makeshift Red Fort rather Mr. Modi, the Prime Minister of Independent India to make synchronism with the past assertions and resonances with the feelings of a common person from the rampart of the Real Red Fort.
His lament for the rape cases was akin to past Shiela Dixit’s lament over the hoarders and black marketeers of Delhi. The nation calls for the Modi who can translate words into reality and ward off the vulturous desire of Hypocrite Congress; not the Modi a replica of the past Government. more

not a replica of the past Government? Well, a strong opposition party which failed to oppose the corrupt government at every stage, cannot do magic just by being in power. Besides all other huge publicity stunts, it is the worst part that the president says "Signs of economic revival visible", "sense of renewed vigour and optimism in the air". I never experience such a joke from any president, like this time. "Mehngaai kam ho rahi hai !" and I am heart choked. more
Thanks Ishteyaque bhai for your kind appreciation. more
Thanks Mohammadji for appreciating my post. more
One has to acknowledge Modi's oratorial skills. This is one skill that got him the victory in elections. Extreme negativity generated for UPA helped him further. People looking for a change had only one plausible choice and they embraced the same. However, good speech can not replace governance. Let us hope that people re not made to rue their decision and choice. After over two months, however, we see no respite from inflation that continues to grow at a back breaking pace. Corruption, that became the biggest single reason for UPA's ouster, seems to have taken a back seat. Surprisingly, people struggling to put an end to corruption in governance, too have stopped talking about it as if the issue has already been resolved. Hopefully they are not in for another shock on that front. While the PM has been very careful in not making any controversial statements and has limited his communication with masses. Some of his allies and party men seem to be doing exactly the same resulting in increased divisive environment. Hard liners are trying to change the overall environment by things like changing the education curriculum at the impressionable stage of youngsters. This is very dangerous and needs to be fought by one and all. With time their is a danger of such activities only increasing and hopefully we do not have to face an irreversible damage to a homogenous society. People will do well by remaining vigilant in this regard and making corrective noises as and when required. more
Modiji continues to perplex people, including the foreign delegates, who were present in strength, at the Red Fort. The impressive I'Day speech has only raised more questions and presented few answers. That BJP will do double speak on communal/cultural/social issues is something that was anticipated so comes as no surprise, and if things do not go too far wrong, is to be digested. But there are other things which do not provide any clarity whatsoever. The Modi govt wants to do rapid development, and push projects such as cleaning of the river Ganga, developing smart cities, run bullet trains etc, all capital incentive projects, and very fine ideas; but from where will the finance come? This remains a million dollar question! The success of these schemes is heavily dependent upon the performance of babudom, which, from its past history, does not inspire too much of confidence. How will honesty and efficiency, so essential for the success of any mega scheme, of such a large body of person be ensured? no light has been shed. Then there is possibility of some tension with the judiciary as well; there may be other such conflicts too. With who? how? where? & when? will emerge as time goes by; and, contrary to what the govt may say at present regarding inclusiveness, brute majority may be employed where no other course remains open. Then there looms the hot question of crony capitalism. How this will impact the perception about the govt, remains to be seen; and, of course, price rise, which this govt seems to be treating as a non-issue. As things unfold, people are likely to appreciate the value of a credible opposition. But despite these apprehensions let us hope the govt succeeds substantially, and if only some failures result, they need to be condoned. more
