Electricity complain
Dear All, Since yesterday night we are facing severe problem of low voltage in D block sector 49 Noida.Since morning we are chasing concern jee and his senior for resolution of this problem but nobody is able to resolve not they are taking calls now. I really don't know how are these department running, Don't they have any responsibility towards citizen??They disconnect the calls, don't bother to answer the calls..despite paying such hefty bill amount if we are going to get services like this??? I really request the concerned officials to take the things little seriously. more

While present situation maybe attributed to weather but this is regular problem with no solution. Mind you Noida is "No Power Cut District". When leaders are so far away from reality and do not know the ground situation then we should not expect any better response. Noida is also "Open Defecation Free" but reality is known to the residents. If only slogans could run a country. more

In sector 45 also we have been running Gen set most of the time during the past 2 days. Last night and even now we are on Gen set. Will electricity department wake up to our calls? more

It is true that the system is so poor that there is no response to queries from the concerned officials or departments, when people enquire about power failures and restoration. But the problem in most areas concerning power supply is due to the very difficult weather condition on 10th evening. This has caused falling of trees, damage to telephone lines. collapsing of electricity poles ----- all this will naturally cause power disruption. Such problems are not easy to rectify and considerable work is involved in restoration. However, all this is no reason for lack of response to customers. Another important factor is that our electricity distribution system is designed badly. In addition there really is no preventive maintenance schedules. All that is resorted to is- BREAKDOWN work. Anyone owning a car or 2 wheelers would understand that unless there is regular maintenance work on your vehicle, the reliability of the vehicle cannot be assured. But the electricity supply system is completely devoid of this. Power supply must always be on the basis of - what is called - "Ring Distribution" system. But this has not been done in our country, and converting all systems to Ring Distribution would take at least 20 years, if the authorities decide that such a system is needed. more

I think it’s high time that Noida should move towards privatisation of electricity. Companies like Tata etc are doing wonderful job more
