Dog and Monkey Menace in Delhi NCR.....
Today's Times of India carries yet another sad story of a 70 year old gentleman who had to jump down from rooftop after having been attacked by monkeys. more
On asking the government was recommended to make a monkey sanctuary and was given clear cut instructions on how / when to trap , transport , neuter a required number and let them lead a natural life .
The sanctuary was made but defective and non monkey friendly . Moneys were caught but by wrong methods leading to breaking of their groups , spreading out and becoming more aggressive .
I have a feeling that now monkeys are being used for biomedical research by many MNC's within the country . As this has not been declared , the government wants this issue to be cloudy . If only it was transparent it would be streamlined also .
The courts should not question the civic authorities but the forest department and CPCSEA _ Committee for the purpose of controling and supervising experiments on animals in the country. Together they can give a picture of what is happening to monkeys and why are they every where and so aggressive. more
