DIVESTMENT OF PSU'S.

The Govt has proposed to divest stake in profitably running PSU and is trying to turn around the sick PSU so that they can run profitably and then maybe sell them off as well. Can the govt not run them or is it not their responsibility to run them for public welfare.

Is it fair to sell stake in PSU to the Public. The Divestment target for 2014-2015 and every year thereafter is more than Rs 40,000 CRORES .

The public is not concerned about this issue as they may not be directly involved in buying or selling but they will suffer a huge loss if this continues as this gives a free flow of money to the govt to spend and the public looses an asset forever.

AK had earlier proposed that only sick PSU should be sold however AAP also has not raised any objections to the stake sale of profitably running PSU. more

Mr. Lalit I have not voted for them and I am sure you neither have you and most of the members here, still criminals do get elected because they stand to gain a lot of money. By disinvestment alone Rs 2,00000 Crores in 5 years and taxes and other earnings separate whereas people like us just watch and do nothing about it.However through this circle we can at least make more and more people aware so that we may get some result someday. more
When we all know that 198 MPs are criminals. They have spent crores to get elected & will recover their investment with profit. Why grudge now after voting them to power. Great Gas Robbery: RIL had drawn out 18 billion cubic metres of natural gas from the block in the Krishna-Godavari (KG) basin which is under the possession of ONGC. On top of this, an interesting question is: Why is there a dramatic drop in the production of RIL from its D6 block in the KG basin (KG-D6), which adjoins that of ONGC, over the past four years? Compared with the targets approved earlier for RIL, the production shortfall was 5 mscmd in 2010-11, 28 mscmd in 2011-12, 55 mscmd in 2012-13 and 66 mscmd in 2013-14. http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2014-05-29/news/50182473_1_ril-and-dgh-natural-gas-corporation-ongc Was RIL waiting for the price rise? Was this price rise played by RIL in background? Neither UPA nor NDA will reveal the fact because both were so in hurry to close the gas price rise in favor of RIL. God bless this nation. more
In the recent press conferrence Arvind Kejriwal Stated (held at Constiution Club of India which might be not seen on media) that RIL gas limited has stolen gas worth rupees 40,000 crore rupees but govt has not taken an effective step. more
Let the Govt. run the Govt. efficiently first. Leave manufacturing of zinc, condoms, steel etc. to the private sector. more
