Rome was not built in a day. Agreed. India is independent, since how many years now? Don't repeat a phrase already shouted around so many times. Like madarsa is a place where Maulvis lure muslims, be truthful that many more Matha and Ashrams are place for Mahanth / Acharya and Babas to lure a rather larger number of people. Why even a budget for madarsa? Political stunt? Effort made by Govt and the second largest opposition as of now? Oh, what a great appreciation you picked just to fool the nation. Only a few don't have access to schools? Please correct your facts : over 50% population is educated only up to Primary School. A poor nation where govt. cannot promise even safe drinking water and food to all, a statue worth 200 crores is ridiculous. more

The amount of Rs.100 crore offered in budget for modernization/ computerization of madarsas is not a small amount. Total number of Madarsas in India and students going to madarsas, type of education imparted in madarsas? Only a few people who do not have access to other schools (Government/Private) and lured by Maulvis do send their childrens to Madarsas. Rome was not built in a day. It is a good beginning. We should appreciate every genuine effort made by Government for the uplift of society is appreciable. Mohinder more
