Desirables in Railway
-Safety is not to expected standards ?
-Quality of food is poor?
-Sanitation / condition in Pantries is pathetic?
Still Top Railway brass wants SALOONS --- WOW
$$ WE - have low moral standards ?/?/?/????????
{ even the MUG ( used for water to clean ourself) needs to be chained or will be stolen}
$ Contractors / Officers loot ( from amongst us )
$ Corruption - we as givers are part of the system
No , I don't suggest that improvements are not needed.
We have to work on both the fronts ------->
We need more trains
We need safety , cleanliness , sanitation , Good food
We need more track conversions
( New Trains are announced every year and new schemes - areas for coverage/ conversion - whimsical alright )
EVENTHOUGH the old announcements are pending for decades. ????????????????????????????????
Progress abismally poor -absolutely unacceptable - very small amount allocated ???????????????????????????????
Trains announced - racks not available and so endless wait for years altogather ??????????????????????????????
and - essential -
double track of essentially small kilometres hampers schedules - takes much larger time
Needs to prioritize such small things that can yield larger returns. ##################
Alternates available by laying small kms of line ( eg Saharanpur - Dehradoon and Indore - Khandwa ) can reduce journey and provide viability.
# Railways need to consolidate the existing projects - review viability and postpone money hoggers
( painful decision )
# Discontinue new announcements till some sense of control is visible
# Controls on corruption need to be strengthened . more

My father down to earth honest got 3 promotions in 25 years..if he was corrupt he eould have been atleast GM. UPA recruitment scam proved it. Bansal to Bandh Cell kab hoga, Sirjee.. more

It is gathered from South Central Railway sources(which is not in vogue in other railways) that the TTEs are set targets for booking ticket-less travelers and the corrupt officials prefer these postings only to earn ill gotten money. It is also further gathered the supervisor staff also had share in these earnings. The realm of affairs had reached when one of such TTEs was thrown out of compartment by some of the passengers near Warangal recently. The other evidence of other railways is that candidates for a rail recruitment examination had illegally occupied the reserved compartments and about 400 passengers were not allowed into the compartments by the occupants. Both these incidents are the resultant reactions of the higher authorities' headless actions. more

RLY RULES ARE ONE SIDED. PROBABLY RULES MADE BY BRITISH RULERS ARE STILL CONTINUED. RLY BEHAVES LIKE A MASTER AND TREAT CUSTOMERS ARE SERVANTS EVEN THOUGH IT IS A SERVICE PROVIDER. UNFORTUNATELY THE RULES ARE MADE IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE CORRUPT OFFICIALS CAN MAKE MONEY BY BENDING AND INTERPRETING THE RULES TO THEIR ADVANTAGE. EVENTOUGH RLYS ARE HAVING A GOOD PERCENTAGE OF EDUCATED AND CAPABLE STAFF AND OFFICERS, THE IRONY IS THAT THE GREEDY FELLOWS ARE IN HELM OF AFFAIRS. WHEN THE MINISTER HIMSELF WAS DEMANDING TEN CRORES FOR THE TOP POST, WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE ORGANISATION. NOW IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE AND WE HAVE TO BE OPTIMISTIC. RLYS HAVE TO BE PRIVATISED WITH STRICT REGULATORY CONTROLE, IN A PHASED MANNER IN ZONE WISE.. RLY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE TRAINED AND MADE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE A SERVICE PROVIDER AND TRAEAT THE CUSTOMERS ACCORDINGLY. ALL OTHER POINTS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT MADE BY OTHERS ARE VALID AND CONSIDERED AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL ON TOP PRIORITY. BEST REGARDS. SMP more

respected railway minister should ensure safe( free from bribes, unhygienic bed rolls, unhygienic train/platform toilets, unhygienic food in trains/ at stations , theft etc in trains etc etc. ) travel as fare increase was based on it . RAILWAY AC CHI KAISE HOGI more
