In the last 2 weeks, several cases have come to light where large sums of new currency has been found with people.
We would like to seek your inputs on various aspects of corruption in banks post demonetisation.

Generally new notes printed are sent from RBI to currency chests first.Currency chests distributes notes to various Bank Branches and agencies loading ATMs .It is also the place where the old notes are deposited by Bank branches .So scrutiny of all currency chest transactions will also help identifying the wrong routes thru which bulk of new currencies reached wrong hands. more

In one of my posts I had suggested that: 1) Full amount of the money is to be confiscated 2) 500% penalty to be imposed on all the persons involved (i.e. owner/carrier or courier/facilitator etc.) individually and not collectively. 3) Separate departmental/institutional disciplinary action(s), criminal proceedings etc. should to follow more

Those banks that have ATM machines that are non-operational for over a month since the inception of demonitization, the nearby branches employees bank accounts should be scrutinized. ATM machines can be repaired within a span of 2 days. I am not speaking of ATMs wherein the notes get filled atleast once a day. Specifically those ATM that have become completely defunct since the date of demonitization eg ICICI bank ATMs, Axis Bank ATMs. more

Over the period unethical practices has started/accepted in the society and one such is charges in percentage. Property dealer charges his fees in percentage of cost of property as if he is carrying on shoulder the bigger amount . Similarly bankers charging processing fees in percentage or advocates charging percentage of claim/value of property are the ridiculous practices and won't go away unless Govt intervenes more
