Delhi Police

It is a well known fact that Delhi Police has been under center , since the creation of Delhi state because any capital has many more other priorities. Once you turn from activist to part of system then you start behaving as if you never knew it. Otherwise also Police is supposed to act without interference of any political or bureaucratic high office. The cases , where police fails are high lighted but where they succeed , never even reported. So just to castigate any police force as corrupt is our mind set. We only make them corrupt as we need favours and we cut corners for our own privilege. In this particular case Police did not restore to pressure from high office. AAP is also responsible for harassing Common Man/woman, may be culprit or innocent that is for court and police to decide, we can not be accuser, prosecutor and judge by our self that is what AAP is trying to do and insisting that they are right. This particular defiant and arrogant approach is eroding the support base and giving people a second thought. AAP shall check and balance its act. more

with all due respect, this patience is what has brought us here. If radical steps are not taken, our shop keepers and vendors would still be bribing police 10 years from now. SHO is the channel for corruption. He acts as a coordinator between the powers of Government/Police and the common man. If Home Ministry and Senior police officials are corrupt, how do you propose we crack this nut? more
So long the police reforms are discussed, agreed and implemented you have to continue to follow the present laid down rules or should be resort to anachy and free for all.Pl have patience and try your influence in first laying down new rules by due process of law and as per constitution of India. In the interim you have to follow the present system and laid out procedure and laws. more
Well Mr. Anil Singh........ First of all it is fr courts to decide u is innocent or culprit... nt fr police to decide. Thn who makes the laws.. Surely law makers...but doest that means all laws in place r right..wen we r still living with laws of 1860.??? The same police force we r living with was established by britishers to act against indians..specially those who were involved in freedom movement....Thn y no reforms evn after 67 yrs of independence....??? blame will come on law makers bt u cant spare enforcement agency from that... Its gud to visit a police station as a priviledged one bt the moment u go there as an ordinary citizen...u come to face the truth... m not at all saying all police officials are corrupt bt the anger is against the present police system which allows the corrupt to flourish....Remember performence check always supports those who r honest and efficient... more
I agree with the analysis of Mr Anil Singh.I have experience of 36 years senior Management level in Ordnance Fys.It is established fact that in any case of awarding punishment for wrong doing three paries are there that is accused/accuser,prosecutor& judge or diciplinary authority. For any fair trial disciplinary authority which is Minister can not be accuser as well as judge.Minister has to ask the police to investigate or raid a place after getting proper search warrant and case coming to him for investigation or judgement or filing a case in court of law.A judge can not raid a place directly as such a power is liable to be misused to settle PERSONAL/political differences. We are criticising similar activities by Shiv saina or so called Ram Sena.IF AAP also starts behaving in the same fashion what is the difference left.I would like AAP leadrship to introspect otherwise the euphoria/goodwill in favour of AAP would evoprate pretty early. more
