CSR Funds Deployment

If scope of Corporate Social Responsibility is expanded to include funding for ethics and integrity awareness creation, how can this funding be best deployed.

Kindly share your inputs on how this can be done to create awareness at national, state, district levels, in business, schools, colleges, etc.

This could have significant impact on reducing corruption in India.

We look forward to your inputs! more

All government etc. institutions should be kept away from such CSR activity. Use the funding to create awareness amongst the children, the senior citizens, the common man to know their rights. Publicity applaud and certify those public servants such as policemen, doctors, etc. for doing their job. The fund should also be used to set up a foundation which would focus on highlighting corruption and getting it bought to the notice as well as fighting against it - means also getting "fearless and dedicated people" who are dedicated to the cause. more
It is having the scope even within existing CSR clause 135 under education. There is need for widening its scope which, of course, ministry of corporate affairs says, that they are not stringent for that and the listing is indicative. more
The suggestion by Sanjeev is good and I welcome it. Also in addition we should groom the next generation by catching them from school level. The children should understand the destruction that is being done to the nation due to corruption. Patriotism towards the nation in fighting corruption should be developed in the young minds. If there was no corruption, INDIA would be ahead of all other nations in all the fields. more
If such funds are available, then it should be used to setup a compliance organisation within all organisations such as Corporations, Police, Govt. Departments, etc. and conduct an intensive compliance program. This program should conduct a culture change program and include such tings like Tone from the top to create awareness in the organisation, Training for each and every individual in the organisation, Ombudsman, anonymous nos. for whistleblowers, etc. There are many MNC companies in the Private sector who have done similar things very successfully and their example can be followed. more
Yes, I agree more
