CRUSADE AGAINST DELHI POLICE

We all know that Delhi Police is very corrupt, and we all are very scared of them. Our CM Kejriwal is going on ANSAN from Monday(20th), if four officers are not suspended is a great news for us. We all must take leave & join his crusade against police, as we can't fight it in isolation.
I had earlier written about Corruption in Police & Judiciary, suggesting that the FIR should be allowed to be lodged through internet/on line, without going to a police station.
Police should be made to devise a system that they don't have to visit our home for Passport verification, asking for money etc..
Without proper control over Police, no good measure against corruption shall prove productive. more

Yes, It is Police, who takes Bribe, at the time of any encroachment/un authorized construction and Its the same police, who come fwd to Break that structure and again ask for not breaking that structures you will see police man searching on sunday for any construction ,collecting money from any non authorized shops, rickshaws at the time of festival, they never pay to the shopkeepers form their Purchase more
Well said and I agree. Root cause of corruption is P2 i.e. Politicians and Police. Rightfully Police should be under the State i.e. under Delhi State Government as Law and order is a State subject. Why should Centre be controlling Delhi Police when the responsibility of Law & Order rests with the State. more
AAP leaders should act as statesmen rather than agitators or worse still rabble rousers. The right course for the Minister was to talk to the Union Home Minster and get Arvinder Singh Lovely to do the same to instruct the Police Commissioner to act on the issues. more
I do agree with your opinion for one point that control of DP should be brought underGovt.of Delhi . More over entire Delhi Police force should be deployed for maintaing Law and order and protection of common man / Women and their safety in Delhi . They should never be used for manning VIP Security in Delhi . instead CentralGovt should form a independent special task force exclusively responsible for VIP and VVIP security . The tiff between Law Minister and Police officers of Delhi Police. Very unfortunate incident . In my opinion The law minister should have avoided direct confrontation with junior Rank officers on the streets at mid night keeping dignity of his position and protocol in mind . Instead he had an option to get in touch with Senior Officers of DP such as DCP ,Joint Commissioner , Or may be Commissioner to take them in confidence and have the suitable instructions issued before rushing to Spot in dead of night leading to confrontation . That situation would have been quite different and confrontation would have not reached to point of no return for both DP and govt. Of Delhi . I think Mr Kejriwal and his cabinet collegues should avoid such situations in the interest of dignity and respect of their legislative poison and dignity . more
Dear All, Its not to suspend 2 police personnel. Rather, the State Govt . should pressurise Central Ministry to give Delhi Police under State Government. All other state have control on their Police and at Delhi why its not possible ? Why they call Delhi poilice ? They should call Central Police !! Until Police is under State Government, they will not resepect or afraid of State Government and Crime will not stop. more
