Corrupt/Lack of Ethics in Financial Markets
Stock trading is one area about which some of you have written to us highlighting that markets are manipulated by various forces.
With this post we would like to seek your inputs on all the corruption/ethics issues relating to stock trading/information exchange in India. Once we understand all the issues, we will look at root causes and solutions seperately.
The objective would be to produce a whitepaper for SEBI that can be utilized to improve transparency in financial markets and increase trust of the common man in Indian Financial Markets.

Some brokers trade clients' instrument without clients knowledge, since the trading is mostly squared up intraday. more

I do believe there is a cartel controlling the market. Couple of years ago,L&T Fin.Holdings,touched 90 and was brought down to 20. It is a finance share nothing to do with manufacturing,production,assets etc.. There is no logic for such wide variation except for manipulation by a cartel. Y.Prabhakararao. Corruption is everywhere in India and where is ethics? Our only ethics is to make money at any cost and any body's cost and we are free to do it in our beloved country! more

Speculation is legal name of gambling which leads to high inflation and spoils many financially. All commodity exchanges should be shut down and there should be a minimum 1 year holding period for securities in the stock market. The buyer should not be allowed to resell the securities before 1 year of purchase. more
