CORRUPTION PREVENTS CHARITY EMPOWERING WOMEN AND WOMEN EDUCATION IN LAW DESPITE HIGH COURT ORDER
INGRAINED CORRUPTION FAILS WELL INENTIONED MODIJI-
RAMPANT CORRUPTION PREVAILING IN PIOUS FIELD OF EDUCATION IN MAHARASTRA
A charitable trust, promoting the cause of women empowerment and having excellent location and infrastructure in the City Of Mumbai at prime location in Juhu, decided to establish an all women law collage and applied for permission without seeking or expecting any grant or financial assistance from the Government or Grants Commission. Despite University certifying that all its requirements were met with and recommended to the State Government, grant of its approval, approval was refused and granted to a politically influential management run collage at Kandivali. Lacs of rupees were collected by way of fees and charges and extensive efforts were made to meet with all compliances required to be met with in advance even before the collage was granted any permission. All these were wasted by the denial by the authorities to a charitable organisation offering to discharge duties of the State enshrined in the constitution.
The trust therefore had to move the Hon'ble High Court, Mumbai, and as always, the Hon'ble Court came to the rescue and directed the Government to consider the application, particularly keeping in view the fact that it is to be a women's collage. This raised a ray of hope in the trust that now at least, the thick skinned Mantralaya will realise its duties and implement justice ordered.
Once again, the entire gamut o application, fees ,compliances, committee visits etc was done and University once again found and confirmed suitability and recommended to the government grant of permission. The trust thought that now atleast the recognition is in hand. Alas! Feelers came to the trust representative from persons claiming intimacy with Mantralaya that 'you pay 20 las and collect your recognition letter'. The trust could not and did not oblidge and the result was 'refusal'to grant recognition on a totally concocted graound that 'you have not complied with a requirement of having FD of 15 lacs locked for 5 years' , turning a complete blind eye, obviously deliberately, to the fact that not only the trust had produced such FD and a letter from the Bank, basedon the undertaking obtained by the Bank from the Trust, confirming that the bank will not allow withdrawal untill university gives its no objection, thus making the FD subject to even more stringent condition going beyond 5 years lock in.
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO CHARITY AT YOUR OWN COSTS AND DISCHARGE OBLIGATIONS OF THE STATE FOR WHICH THEY ARE COLLECTING TAXES! THIS CAN ONLY HAPPEN IN INDIA-MAHARASTRA!

Corruptions continued to be in rampant besides the PM declared to arrest corruptions and to act upon corruption cases quickly awarding stringent punishment. But sincerity of Modi government in this regard is in question! If the government is office is really sincere to eradicate corruption from the country, how his government totally forgot the issue of Lokpal? Mr Modi himself didn't utter on a single occasion that his government needs to appoint long pending Lokpals and make the office of the most debated Lokpals working in full swing to meet the expectation of the government as well as the nation as a whole! Problems are created when the senior leaders get easily influenced by other leaders' adulation and give them free hands for arbitrary conduct. That is what happening now. more

Monopoly in pricing of education and health is growing day by day. It is high time that the Prime Minister should take sincere steps to bring the cost - affordable to the common man in the middle class. more

Corruption, non-accountability, nepotism and political patronage has ruined every institution in India. The licences/approvals are up for sale to unscrupulous people through out the country. In many educational institutions, the politicians are direct partners. There should be transparency in every decision of the Govt. This will reduce litigation to a great extent. more

There might have been some codal formalities which might have been the pre-requisite for the approval. Else if the trust does not need any fund support, there may not have been any objection or release of approval by the State Government. The author should have attached the copy of rejection letter with the post. more

I must applaud for your upfront acceptance of the evil of corruption in the departments, legislature and judicial agencies and now of course media also. It is also a fact that we ourselves are also promoting the corrupt practices. more

Basically we are corrupt. I am not a certificate issuing authority for my claim that everybody is corrupt but it is a fact as I am serving in an anti corruption agency of the country and my agency is also very corrupt. more
