Corruption in Telecom Industry - Key Issues

1. Unauthorized phone tapping can be done by paying bribes
2. Anyone can pay a bribe and get phone logs of any person
3. Employees accept money to leak out personal details of the consumer
4. MTNL employees/line men ask for bribes to fix faults
5. BSNL/Airtel employees ask for bribes to provide prompt connection service
6. Bribes worth crores of rupees is paid during the sale of spectrum by telecom companies
7. The higher ups in the ministry accept bribes and take decisions which directly or indirectly work in the favour of the private telecom companies. more

Due to monopoly of bsnl we are going for private telecom services when bsnl will work properly then people will not forget the bsnl. more  
Private telecom companies can activate some service without asking you or in mischievious way by sending a call and you press button accidently and then they activate the service and you pay for it unnecessarily. IT MUST BE CHECKED, there is a huge amount of public money wasted like this. more  
All telephone companies are lacking sense of responsibility and very poor in providing service, but charge at higher rate. more
