Corruption in Telecom Industry - Solutions

It is lack of proper administration by the service provider. more  

I would request every govt employees to have a look before demanding any bribe from any person, if at all the file is not suitable for approvals then they have to reject it or else they should be bold enough for not encouraging any one who is attempted to offer the bribes, so that the corruption will come down drastically in couple of years that is for sure, even the citizens are also given enough time to complete the process, not to put pressure in getting things done by means of bribe. more  

Despite having largest number of towers of the BSNL in the country, their coverage is poor and call draps are frequent, coverage rapidly fluctuates and voices are often not clear and audible, forcing the users to migrate to private companies. This is a clear cut instance of corruption at high level; Though BSNL has the capability & resources, it is operating at colonies with their limited line capability laid 20 or 25 years back. Though demand for connections has raised manifold since then, the company is simply expressing its inability for giving any new ,instead of laying new lines with modern technology. Even the company is unable to provide satisfactory service to the existing subscribers duty old technology & several faults & interruption in the decades old lines. The result is to opt for the private operators but the BSNL people show no signs of concern. This is another example of corruption prevailing at all levels of the officers & employees of the company. There are several instances of my complaining against broad band services. The complaints are duly recorded and instant ID number is given by the automated system. After some time a message is received that the work has been allotted to a person who is a Line Man for telephones and does not know ABCD of broad band. After some time a telephonic call from the relative telephone exchange is received asking as to whether my telephone is in working condition. On my replying that because of my phone being in working condition he is able to talk to me and my complaint was not for the telephone but for the broad band, he simply disconnect the line. After a few hours or on the following day the concerned line man visits my house, checks the phone and the DP installed about 50 yards away, finds everything in order and leaves but my problems remain the same. This game is continued for more than two years but there is no sign of improvement. People who lost their patients migrated to other service providers but I have decided to see the end and still facing the torturous attitude of BSNL people. Is it not a live example of existance of high level corruptions in the company? more  

govt ask us to put set top box but if cable operators dont provide service as agreed by getting filled forms and we cannot see the channels needed and lot of stoppages of channels.Dont know which dept will help to stop corruption for not getting services committed to indian citizens, more  

There are several issues like: 1. MTNL employees/line men ask for bribes to fix faults - is abstracting unauthorized &/Or illegally additional money under pretext of NON REFUNDABLE Deposits, even hough earlier paid. No response to any of the enquiries / Complaints. 2. Idea are collecting additional Bills and deposits to the tune of Rs. 400 for each new sim cards without any valid receipt/s. Complaints made severally having NO RESULTS. 3. Vodophone Refusing to change the plan from Post paid to Pre Paid and Bills to the tune of Rs. 12000 for a month (Average Rs. 1000 to 1200 Month) is abstracted else the threat of disconnecting the Connection &/Or Not providing the services - particularly Outgoing calls. Compailing to pay the amount. This happen periodically every year couple of times. Detailed sought for require additional Rs. 75/- per bill which does not attract any attention even for written complaint. The Behaviour of the personnel's is so arrogant, like they NOT only owing the Company but every customer is ..... Frequent Call drop is burning topic BUT lack of these services does not affect the HIGH Bills raised by the service providers. All Big advertisements are only to dupe the people/Customers one or the other way. more
