Corruption in Residents/ Home Owners Association
Corruption starts from the Registrars Office. In our RWA we have no cash money. For Noida, the Registrar Office is located in Meerut. You have to visit the Office once, to understand how Citizens are treated. Every 5 years the Registration is to be renewed. There is no way out. If you dont pay , its impossible to get the renewel done.
Noida has a population of almost 20 lakhs, now. Why Meerut ? Attitude of the Babus, as if we are slaves from the British Raj ! The whole place is musty, ill maintained, and only there to make slush money .
Suggested that there should be branch office in Noida and records managed electronically, so time is cut short and there is transparency in the working of this Govt. Office. we should be able to do the documentation on the Net and a time frame to get the Registration.
RWA are localised bodies, serving the community, they have no constitutional validity, like the Gram Panchayat. They mostly try to address the common local issues. Generate their own resource from Residents , to provide Security.Since the Govt. has even failed to develop the area even after making tall claims, all our energy is exhausted making rounds of their offices , for providing the basics , which are part of the promised development, but where land mafias have been created by the same officers , who are supposed to develop it. deal with them.There are 178 services supposedly provided electronically in Noida, but what is really happening ? Things are still taking place on files, without addressing the problem. khana puri !
RWA ' s will loose their mandate, as Residents stop paying their subs. if they dont perform. They are the check and balance. more

We all can talk cry and pass time by way of discussion. How many of us will face the truth by not paying. !!!! more

Usually the Registrar office is to keep a record and to ensure that the Societies are running and the account is managed properly. The registration in five years is a control to ensure proper running of the society. But the Government officials feel that they are paid for coming to the office and for doing any work they need to be paid. Moreover, where the state Government is silent to corruption, the Government officials get encouraged to extract money from public without any hesitation. It is really bad, but who will mend them? Achha din kob ayega? (When the good days will come?) only God knows. more

Its not just NOIDA and Meerut, every public office reeks of corruption, exploitation, loot! That's because we have been cheated by Nehru who has dumped on us a Constitution fit for a slave colony rather than a democracy! I can't see things improving unless there is a revolution of the French/Russian kind! Meanwhile we can just use the RTI Act to just let out our steam. Such corrupt incidents were rampant in DDA .For inspection,once they wrote to come to pick them up with a car.We asked:You will do office duty or coming on invitation of our dinner party?The letter was sent to VP-DDA also,who was asked :Why he is not responding to even registered complaints?Even matter went to court,and you may remember that VP-DDA was suspended.So,best way is assert the rirights and Right in Third degree language,using legal words.Never visit their office and ask THEM TO SEE THE THINGS AT SITE.May be it may change,but no body else will do,never our PM-talking congress corruption but no time to make rules to stop political party corruption. more
