Corruption in Lady Irwin School aided by DelhiGovt
The Lady Irwin School, Delhi is a govt. aided girls school under the Delhi School Education (DSE) Act, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the DSE Act) operating on govt. funding by the GNCTD to the extent of 95 PER CENT of the total expenditure in running the school. The schools (Junior and Senior) are also operating on prime govt. lands under Govt. lease hold (to the extent of acres) in the heart of Delhi i.e Defence Colony and Srimant Madhav Rao Scindia Marg (Old Name Canning Road) in New Delhi. This is the one of the most beautiful school building in the area on prime location of New Delhi which is at present in deteriorating condition. The GNCTD has the statutory duty and mandate to govern the functioning of the schools as per the provisions of the DSE Act and the rules, 1973 framed thereunder.
The school in the last few years has been under the following problems which it is appealed calls for an immediate enquiry followed by a temporary takeover of the school under the SECTION 20 of the DSE Act, 1973:
1. NO ELECTIONS TO THE GOVERNING BODY FOR DECADES:
2. PARENTS RIGHT TO PARTICPATE DENIED :
3. ILLEGAL DONATIONS IN THE NATURE OF EXTORTION
4. TEACHERS NOT BEING RECRUITED IN TIME OR AS PER NEED
5. POST OF PRINCIPAL LYING VACANT SINCE 2009
6. SAFETY OF CHILDREN COMPROMISED
7. IMPROPER PARMANENT AND ADHOC TEACHER RATIO:
8. DENIAL OF SMC AS PER RTE ACT 2009:
9. IMPROPER DTC BUS SERVICES:
10. DENIAL OF DOE FOR TAKING OVER THE SCHOOL:
11. DETEROITATING CONDITION OF SCHOOL:
Neither DOE, Nor Gov of Delhi, Nor the HOS of the school is listening to appeals of the SMC parents for the betterment.
We the SMC body (as per RTE act 2009), ALUMNI body –LISA and PTA body feels that it necessary to submit this representation against the Governing Body under the Reg Soc act 1860 who are illegally running the school over a long period of time, DOE and Delhi Gov. Not only the reputation of the school is at stake but the very name of Lady Irwin School would go into oblivion if this trend continues and the core issue is not addressed immediately and a corrective measure is not taken. more

Take help of NGO to file a PIL & fight if you feel you have correct information. Ladoge to aage badoge. more

I started my schooling in Lady Irwin school . I loved the school , my teachers ,the play ground , the basant panchmi festival and the wholesome education at that time . more
