1. Transfers and postings are used as weapons against employees
2. Many Government employees bribe their seniors to get transfers and postings of their choice, esp in State Government
3. In many cases, employees who are not willing to pay bribes are transferred to remote locations
4. Honest employees who end up being impediments in unethical activities are transferred frequently
5. Businesses pay bribes to stop the promotion of some employees
6. Employees also bribe the competent authorities for stopping their own transfer
7. Fake medical and hospital certificates are shown to stop transfers. more

Honest employees who end up being impediments in unethical activities are punished by giving them bad ACRs (Below bench Mark) due to which they are denied their due promotions and Deputation, training etc. more

pathetic situation is that Few NGOs are involving Govt. posting & direct appointments against our sovereignty. I think sincere citizens may notice this. more

All Govt. employees should have fixed location. transfers can happen only say after 5 years and within next 2 years. The employees should be liable for removal from services / demotion to lower position, if found unsuitable. Corrupt , inefficient employees should be moved out. Employees regarded for efficiency who had promotions and awards can not be moved out. Again employees should have window to Lokpal to address their grievance if MPs, MLAs, ministers try to take undue advantage of their positions. best regards, more

New recruits are posted away from their home town even if vacancies exist there. When they apply for transfer, middlemen ensure that they willingly bribe. more

govt posting and transfers all to gether is ..every body knows..very few people genuie candidates are got job and many govt officials who posted in metro how they are avoiding transfers..in all state and central govt, means in small village,towns,cities admn not required as per.. more
