Corruption breeds corruption.
The comprehensive survey of families in Telangana State specially in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits it is revealed that as many as 24 lakhs households exist as against estimated 14 lakh households. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation authorities themselves had estimated the existence of households at about 19 lakhs. As against this estimation there were some more 5 lakh households in reality.
Is it believable that these excess house holds of about 10 lakhs have come up without the knowledge of the authorities. If it is thought it is absurd. About 50% of house taxes from these unaccounted households have evidently been eaten away by the respective enforcement authorities. Is it not a situation calling for stern action against the failed authorities?
If one counts the total evasion of cess, duties, fees, taxes from these about 10 lakh households one should get a chill in his spine. Similarly the magnitude at country's level is unimaginable. The Governments have to act without any hesitation. more

Persons who does Survey ,themselves are corrupt and distribute , the bribes , there should be separate , body , than the survey group , who in turn , monitor , the authenticity , for Tax es to be Imposed. more

Unless we get an accurate idea as to how many families are actually in the taxable and poverty limit. All those who are owning a car a house over 1000 sq ft and a shop with a turnover of over Rs 10 lakhs must at least be an income tax assessed. more

What you have posted is correct. Govt has to take stern action on the culprits and conduct survey similar to Hyderabad to be conducted in all the states to know the correct status of house holds in India and total citizens of India. I agree with you G.K.Naidu, Hyderabad more

How one can guarantee that all the registered are not registered some where else, or some people just came to Hyderabad for the day to get registered and get some benefits. The system itself had many questionable flaws - who are verifying the credentials of the residents and how it could have been done within a day? more
