It is everywhere. Even for the knowledgeable person it is must to grease the palms before anything is done. more
You need to have knowledge of the subject you are dealing with. I you are ignorant, agents/officials take undue advantage of it and try to make a simple job difficult. Also if each office displays/publishes procedure for getting the job done from said office. One also needs strong determination for not bribing/indulging in corrupt practices as, remember, it is a two way affair!Of course you can't eradicate corruption just like that, we need to form habit for this. Any officials' corrupt practices be highlighted to the concerned's higher ups or escalated to the Ministry. Let's try this way! more
The corruption invariably takes place when one has to deal with govt dept for legal compliance. The govt employees employ arm twisting tactics particularly with small entrepreneurs since they know that these entrepreneurs have a balancing act to perform racing against time. For instance, an officer scrutinizing an income tax refund of a small company almost always does not clear the refund unless his hands are lubricated by bribe and small businessman are bound to comply, otherwise the legitimate refund will be intimately delayed. What remedy do we have against such practices? more
First of all to start any venture during various registration and approval from Govt. Bodies huge bribe are involved. Thereafter for marketing in Govt Sectors as the past suppliers have fixed the game new entrant will not receive chance without hand-sum bribe and at level the bribe more than Govt fees are involved for success and the total mechanism of Govt body is full of corruption starting from peon to head of Govt. Solution: Simple process for registration and approvals, withdrawal of inspector control in departments, fair tender policy without any restrictive conditions & common specification, early implementation of GST to control malpractices in various taxes etc... more
i think approaching all the authorities in person without the help of any agents will reduce corruption definitely. and many dept are showing the change more
