Communication reg School Fee Increases
In the interest of maintaing law & order in the district and transparency in regards to school fees in the Gautam Budh Nagar, all CBSE and ICSE schools are required to form a 5 member team. This team must include a School representative, a Parents representative, a Chartered Accountant representing school, a Chartered Accountant representing parents and a representative of the District Administration.
Schools can only increase fee under the pre-defined categories by the State Government (attached details) and any increase has to be approved by this 5 member committee. Any increases in regards to new facilities planned by the schools must be approved by this committee and should be conveyed to parents one year in advance. The schools cannot force parents to pay fees that is not approved by this committee.
In the event if it is found that the schools are increasing fees under categories not defined by State Government and not providing the promised facilities, the District Administration will be sending the details of the school to State Government for Cancellation of School's NOC.

Capping of fee is bad idea though. One third schools will pack up. Dont copy gujarat blindly more

I think something better than nothing friends. It should have deadlines and provisions to check on corruption. Ideally full disclosure via website more

It's highly appreciable step taken by the government. However, the government must ensure its effective implementation and that schools don't co-opt parents' representative. more
