Commit to Nurturing a Tree this Raksha Bandhan
Dear Noida Residents:
Thanks to those who participated in lighting a lamp in memory of martyrs on Independence Day eve. Over 300,000 lamps (diyas and candles) were lit in Noida and Greater Noida. Residents from all parts of the district enthusiastically participated with children leading the way.
I take this opportunity to appeal to you that on the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan on Aug 18th, everyone tie a Rakhi on a tree and pledge to take care of that tree and attach yourself emotionally to it.
We get oxygen from trees, so on this occasion, let us take the pledge to save the trees. So that the oxygen we get from trees, continues to protect our life.

Dear Mr DM, what steps are being taken in bringing residents encroaching on govt land,in front of their houses,to book; On Tue, 16 Aug 2016 23:23:49 +0530 "District Magistrate GBN-Noida" wrote > more
sorry, i could not. since i stay in the flat, i do not have any place to plant a sapling. i thought of sowing Mangoe (Langada) seeds in the park, where i walk every day. I feel we should have more fruit bearing trees in the parks and roadsides, that can give fruits to the birds as well as to the people. but the RWA discouraged, saying that it will be a nuisance and the children from the slums will come and throw stones on the tree when it is grown and bearing fruits ! more

Sir, a great suggestion at the right time. The members of Club 26 still remembers your providing 100 palm plants to club which have grown into big trees now. Will definitely follow your suggestion on 18th August. more
