BJP has promised 50% cut in power bills

Last year also, BJP promised 30% reduction in power but:

1) withdrew subsidy in the budget last year.
2) stopped verification of fast moving electric meters.
3) opposed CAG audit of DISCOMs
4) Increased power tarrif twice.

Now BJP has promised 50% reduction in electricity bills without telling "How".

Behind every promise by AAP (e.g. women safety, corruption, electricity, water, better connectivity, development etc) there is some home work and a road map. This is missing in BJP's list of promises. more

Prakeshji, thanks for appreciating my post. Also, I fully agree with your post. But will introduction of Kiran Bedi really help the BJP cause? Despite her considerable star value, she lacks political & electoral experience, which is showing up during her campaigning! Besides, her reluctance for a public debate with AK could be denting her image, of a dare devil, prepared to take on any & every one, as well? But there is no denying, her introduction has created a huge splash but who will this splash drench, remains to be seen!? more
A full majority BJP government failed to do any good in several months under the most highlighted leader NaMo. BJP cannot offer another dream anymore. That is why they had to offer CM candidate offer to Kiran Bedi. There should not be a question whether BJP will win Delhi. It is so clearly visible that BJP is just another face, nowhere better than Congress. There must not be a doubt that the best government Delhi can see is from AAP only. more
Congress and BJP to proven reliable nahi hai. AAP fully tested nahi hai aur isliye ispar ek bet jaroor banti hai. Verna ye dono to hamesha hi rahengi vote dene ke liye. more
BJP is totally unreliable . . more
Subsidy, as a short term measure and for strategic reasons, may not be avoided. Discoms must make reasonable profits, no body disputes that. But the problem arises when expenses are fudged to make unreasonable profits; and when the cost of inefficiency, carelessness opulence & luxury etc is passed off as essential expenditure and the consumer is made to pay for it! That is why audit is necessary and which is why the Discoms are shying away from it, fearing exposure?! more
