Are you paying parking fee as what has been authorised?
Most of the parking attendant are charging parking fee of Rs. 20/- for a car as against authorised fee of Rs. 10/- per car. These parking lots are not adhering to the guidelines even issued by Courts and the implementing agencies are least concerned as these agencies are hand in glove. It seems parking mafia is quite active in Delhi even where there is no parking lot has been allotted. more

Personal Experience ... Refuse to pay More than Rs.Ten.. Ask for MCD/NDMC notification if required.. Most of the times with little murmuring they accept Rs.10/- more

You both are right in highlighting corruption in daily life of common man by various mafias/public servants in govt. services like water, electricity etc.. Red tape is still prevalent even after so called privatization. Even lokpal would be totally ineffective at this level of corruption. One solution would be to give PARKING LOTS to nearby RWAs to manage. more

Virmaniji you are cent percent right. I had been to Nehru Place a number of times and found they always asked for Rs.20/- even for half an hour or so. They issue a parking slip cut in such a way that you are not able to see actual parking fee. They don't use the hand held machine used at Metro St. parking lots. Only when you argue with them to show the full slip, they reluctantly allow to pay as per the rule. The other place where cheating/corruption is open is in the sale of Non-Judicial stamp papers. In Noida stamp paper vendors charge Rs.15/- for a stamp paper of face value of Rs.10/-. I believe same is true at other places too more
