AK says he will never resign

Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said he has learned that "one must never quit the chair" even as he claimed that AAP had achieved more in its 49-day rule in the national capital than the Narendra Modi government in its 100 days at the Centre.

"No one in India's history worked the way we did in those 49 days. We reduced prices of electricity, water, brought down corruption.

"What has Modi done in his 100 days? BJP has failed to control inflation. After winning elections, they have increased train fares and the prices of petrol, sugar," Kejriwal told a rally here.

Kejriwal said he regretted his decision to quit as the chief minister and added that he had learned a lesson. If voted to power, he would focus on Delhi and govern for the full term of five years, he said.

"We are new to politics and we learned one thing, that one must never quit the chair. This time if we come to power, we will not quit. We will stay in Delhi and rule for full five years," he added.

"Congress did not allow us to work and only I know how I worked for those 49 days, which is why I quit ... Now you have to ensure that we rule for five years," he added. more

Shame that you still take side of the corrupt and the murderer team. Mr. Sehgal, no wonder when you say strong decision for the sake of delhi, you know the recent decisions: Modi is promoting black money by REJECTING RTI for POLITICAL PARTIES. He has Removed CORRUPTION KILING GOVT OFFICERS from AIIMS to SAVE corrupt people of his party. He has asked his GOVERNOR of DELHI TO KILL RE ELECTION SELECTIVELY in DELHI. Modi has asked his MP and MLAs and Ministers to NOT GIVE EXPENDITURE ACCOUNT OF their LAD funds. He has NOT FULFILLED PROMISE OF BJP AGENDA to REDUCE 30% electricity prices for Delhi. HE has COPIED AAP IDEA of Anti corruption by doing DRAMA of DELHI POLICE anti corruption helpline. He is NOT GIVING FREE MEDICAL FACILITIES TO PEOPLE as ELECTION PROMISE AND INSTEAD PLAYING LOVE JIHAD DRAMA for UP ELECTIONS. HE is not ASKING any MLA, MP, MINISTER to RESIGN even after shameful CRIMES involvement indicated by Supreme Court. more
He has lost faith of people. What Modi ji has done or what not, is different issue. But He did nothing. We cannot take risk for five years. If election is held in Delhi, he cannot get more than four seats. We can make fool to a person only once and not again and again. It is now clear Delhi wants a strong Leader who is strong in making decisions for the sake of Delhi and its people. We have also got a lesson. @Reeta: Nothing strange that you and many other fell in love with sweet words. Modi won due to this specific skill. Persuade people to support him by means of deception and flattery. He is serving, not the nation but Ambani and Adani. @Surender ji: Modi ne toh jhunjhuna bhi cheen liya. True it is not the best way, but a temporary and immediate measure to ease common man. Not like Modi who immediately started offering advantage for Ambanis. You talk about this period is short for Modi: AK showed benefit within half the duration. Talk sense please. more
O do not agree with what kejriwal says. except on corruption front his all so called achievements were populist measures which is like giving a dose of cockin to a person or a jhunjhuna to a kid. Has he reduced the cost of electricity ? no, it was only subsidy which is not the best way. could he increase productivity in any field? again no, because it could not be done in short period. that is where I am with modi. He is tackling basic problems, the result will not come immediately. The solutions of basic problems can not be achieved in short periods. more
